A wall system with the Sand furniture is an ideal solution that perfectly harmonises with a modern, mobile office space.
Everyone is responsible for different tasks during their working day. Each of us has to face various challenges. Sometimes people have to perform their duties in a big or small team – they hold planned meetings or quick and spontaneous ones. Sometimes people have to work individually. A well-designed office space in the service sector, which meets all these different needs, can increase a company's efficiency by 20%.
DESIGN: Vincent van der Horst
He was born in Amstelveen, a Dutch city, in 1972. Since his early childhood, he has shown interest in many different disciplines. He studied architecture as well as marketing and communication.
In 1997–2004 he worked as a senior designer and account manager in a furniture manufacturing company in The Hague.
Looking for a wider perspective, he set up his own design studio Crystallize – Allround Design, together with his schoolmate. His furniture projects are sold in over 100 countries.
Pouffes
The pouffes are made of expanded polystyrene and a carcass made of 25 mm thick chipboard covered with foam and upholstery. The pouffes are available as mobile versions (with castors) and stationary versions (with glides).
Benches
The bench carcass is made of plywood and 18 mm thick chipboard. The benches are covered with hardly flammable polyurethane foam of 35 kg/m3 density and an upholstery fabric. The bench sides are made of melamine faced chipboard. Seat height is 450 mm.
Table with a metal leg
The Sand table top with a metal leg is made of 25 mm thick melamine faced chipboard. The metal leg with a 70×70 mm square diameter is powder-coated in 3 colours (WHITE, ALU or BLACK). Table height is 750 mm.
High table with a chipboard leg
The Sand table top with a chipboard leg is made of 50 mm thick laminated cellular board; the leg is made of 50 mm thick melamine faced chipboard. Table height is 1100 mm.
Structure of walls and reception walls
The 150 mm thick Sand wall is made of chipboard covered with hardly flammable polyurethane foam of 35 kg/m3 density and an upholstery fabric.
The wall cover is made of 18 mm thick melamine faced chipboard.
The Sand walls can be integrated with high tables or upholstered benches in the arrangements with low tables.
